The next leg of the Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Soccer Stars 2012 was recently held in the city of Kozhikode and saw an overwhelming response from schools across the region, with as many as 66 schools registered for the initial rounds.

The competition was filled with several close and entertaining encounters, none more so than the final, where IOHSS Edavanna edged past GGBHS Chalappuram by a 1-0 scoreline.

After casting his keen eye on several talented lads in the fray, scout Jamshid Nassiri selected two boys for the all India training camp in Kolkata, Rashid K from IOHSS Edavanna and Saurav T P from R.K. Mission HSS.

 

The Prizes Were Given Away By Mr. Kamal Varadur And Mr. Premnath Philips....

The winner of the skills contest was Mishad from TAUPS Karuvarakund while Dilshad Ajmal Shah’s brilliant performances were recognised, as he was awarded the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Safarulla Ghan from IOHSS Edavanna and Fahad Sadiq K P from GGBHS Chalappuram were presented with the top goal scorer and best goalkeeper gongs respectively by chief guests Mr. Kamal Varadur and Mr. Premnath Philips, who is an ex-India footballer and currently a local scout.
