The next leg of the Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars 2012 was held in the football mad city of Kolkata, and as expected, there was an overwhelming response from schools around the city.

As many as 64 schools registered to take part in the Kolkata leg, which was eventually won by Baksha B.N Vidyalaya, who on their way to the final defeated the defending champions Pandua High School by a comprehensive 3-0 scoreline before edging past Aharampur Sahara Boys by a solitary goal.

MVP Firdos Mondal

The tournament’s Most Valuable Player award went to Firdos Mondal of Mohispota High School while Supriyo Mazumdar, who fired the goals that led Baksha B.N Vidyalaya to the title was declared as the top scorer with Satya Baik of St. Augustines Kalimpong being adjudged as the best goalkeeper.

The Bundle Of Skills

There was more to cheer for the Kalimpong based school students, as their student Sahaas Thapa won the Skills contest.

Former Indian International Shyamol Banerjee gave away all the prizes, which further boosted the morale of the youngsters.

Aramendranath Bag and Supriyo Mazumdar from Baksha B.N. Vidyalaya and Raju Biswas from Mohispota Boys High School were selected for the all India training camp in Kolkata.
