Benfica All Stars XI and Zidane's XI drew 3-3 at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon, in what was a glittering and star-studded occasion held to aid the victims of the terrible earthquake in Haiti. Bhaichung, Kaka and Pires all scored in what was an entertaining match in front of a packed stadium.

Zidane's line up was studded with stars like himself, Kaka, Pires, Thierry Henry, Luis Figo, Dani Alves, Kluivert et al, as well as Haiti international Jean Soni, and the team scored first in the game, which was organized by the United Nations Development Fund. Kaka received the ball just outside the penalty area, and dribbled past the defence and the keeper Luciano to slot into the open net.

Benfica scored twice through Nuno Gomes thereafter,  the first one after being sent through one on one, and the other after the ball was squared to him inside the box, leaving him the task of prodding the ball home from 5 yards.

The second half saw Zidane's side equalize, as Zidane himself produced a moment of magic, going past his marker in trademark style on the left before cutting the ball back to Pires, who controlled it well before firing in from close range.

Eder Luis made it 3-2 around the hour mark, when he received the ball just outside the box, and coolly curled it past Fabien Barthez to restore Benfica's lead.

As reported earlier by Goal.com, Bhaichung Bhutia was due to make an appearance in the game, and he came on as a second half substitute, donning the No.37 jersey. And he made his mark on the international stage once more, as six minutes before time, he was played in by Christophe Dugarry, and he made no mistake in producing a superb finish from a tight angle.

The match ended 3-3, with it expected to have raised a significant sum for the Haiti victims. Also, it wasn't the first time Bhaichung appeared in a charity match, as he had earlier played for Seedorf's team in the Goal4Africa game, and scored twice.

Bhaichung Bhutia was earlier named Goal.com India's Player of the Decade.

Goal.com India lauds the efforts of Bhaichung and of all the players who helped make this game a possibility, to provide some relief to the people suffering in Haiti.
