The trio of Odafa Okolie, Kalu Nnanna and Arindam Bhattacharya were granted bail in the wee hours of Wednesday morning after being held for alleged misbehaving with the cabin crew.

The players were booked under sections 39, 354 and 509 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) as they teased and pushed an airhostess of Spice Jet airlines which relates to an act, word or gesture intended to insult the modesty of a woman.

“The three players underwent a medical test late last night after they were taken into custody and the results were all positive, which meant nothing was wrong.

“They paid a fine of rupees five thousand each and were granted a bail at around 2 am,” informed policewoman from the Santa Cruz police station in Mumbai to Goal.com.

The I-League champions were on their way to Kolkata for their I-League game against Mohun Bagan but due to the untoward incident, were held up in the financial capital of the country. The trio are expected to leave Mumbai for Kolkata later today.
