Poor Results Has East Bengal Officials Scratching Their Heads
The crisis never seems to end for East Bengal...
East Bengal have suffered three defeats in a row and against sides whom they should comfortably beat, at least going by the names they have on their team list. They have been chucked out of the two tournaments they have participated in and face Mahindra United in what would be a meaningless game for them.
The officials at East Bengal aren’t too happy with the present scenario and are too meet to discuss what the upcoming season holds for them.
“The Executive Committee shall meet on Friday evening to talk about the team’s poor results,” informed East Bengal official, Debabrata Sarkar.
Coach Subhash Bhowmick stated that his team’s defence is so weak that one can even say that they don’t even have one!
This leaves the club management with a big question as to why the coach took such a long time to realise that their defence is poor.
And these statements come after the verbose statements issued earlier wherein it was claimed that the team is good enough to win AFC Cup! And if their defence is poor, why did they let Subrata Paul go to another club?
The foreign players have flopped big time and rewind two months back where some of them were appointed as leaders to monitor the Indian players over several aspects during the pre-season. Now the club realises that perhaps, those foreign players were never meant to play in India!
One wonders whether the Red and Gold’s shall find their way back to glory which once made Indian football proud after their famous ASEAN Cup victory.
