Kalimpong Fans Satisfied With Bagan's 5-0 Display
Mohun Bagan’s pre-season got off to a flier as they trounced Kalimpong XI 5-0 at the Kalimpong Stadium this afternoon amidst all the hustle and bustle of the fans....
Though Kalimpong football lovers rooted for their team, they were equally pleased with Bagan’s football and the atmosphere was contagious.
The match was divided into three halves of 30 minutes each so that both teams could use all their players. In Kalimpong XI’s case, it was about the chance to play against a big club and hence, each and every player wanted to have that honour.
Mohun Bagan general secretary, Anjan Mitra, was present at the stadium to witness the match. He was pleased with the outcome as well as with the support.
Despite the foggy conditions and the drizzle, people came out in numbers, which was worth appreciating. What they saw left them satiated, although they were still yearning for more.
All in all, it was a great match for the people of Kalimpong, who have a notable footballing tradition.
