Women's Committee To Meet Tomorrow

With women’s football having to suffer the ignominy of being scrapped from the latest FIFA rankings, women’s committee is expected to meet on Tuesday to chart the future course of action...

Indian Football
Back in June, FIFA dropped India from the rankings for being inactive for the more than 18 months or so. All India Football Federation (AIFF) acting president, Praful Patel was quoted saying that an ad-hoc committee shall be formed which shall look into the matters of women’s football.

The Indian FA stated that they are committed towards developing women’s football from the grassroots and that poor displays of the women’s team forced them to think about the future course of action.

The women’s’ committee shall review women’s football and also discuss on the future coaching camps and courses to be held. They are also expected to appoint a chairman and his deputy for the ad-hoc committee.

“The Women’s committee shall review women's football activities and plan their activities for the next two years,” said AIFF general secretary, Alberto Colaco.
