Pune FC Implicated In An Alleged Case Of Non-Payment, The Player Reports To FIFA
FIFA have written to Pune FC for alleged non-payment of the dues to Chenedu Ebe, who had come for trials for the Piramal Group owned club in the year of their formation...
What followed were some incidences of discipline and not turning up for the training sessions, which eventually led to the two parties go separate ways. It is learnt that Pune FC did pay the defender for the period he was with them.
However, the player took his case to the world governing body for football and has made an outrageous demand of approx. two million dollars from the club hailing from western India. FIFA and Pune FC have been in correspondence for the last six-to-eight months over the same.
When contacted a Pune FC official, he stated, “Since the case is sub judice, we wouldn’t want to comment on it. Our lawyers are doing the needful.”
The case is with the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) of FIFA.
