Rain Spoils Practice Plans Of Team India
The Indian national team couldn’t hold its first practice session, as scheduled, as heavy rains in Barcelona kept them to have an indoor session...
Speaking to Goal.com late last night, Gouramangi Singh said,” Yesterday we got the day off, which we needed after the long hour travel. Today, we had gym in the morning and then were supposed to go to the field but the rain had disrupted. So we went on with the aerobic.”
The best defender of the I-League was excited after the training sessions at Dubai and felt that preparation at Barcelona would help them further to be ready for the Nehru Cup. A lot has been spoken about Indian team’s rankings in the recent past with the Indian sports minister, M.S.Gill stating that the team would even lose to an Australian school team. But Gouramangi feels that the team at least needs some basic facilities to take it to the next level.
“We are not asking for more, just some basic facilities, at least a ground is needed. If after that we don’t perform, then question us,” added the Manipuri.
It is believed that the team members shall visit the famous stadium later today.
