No Place For Snehashish - Subhash Bhowmick
After Goal.com reported of the former Chirag United player’s allegations on the Red and Gold’s of coming out with a contract with “fake” signatures and with the matter being on the radar of Indian Football Association’s (IFA), state football association of West Bengal, Bhowmick has decided to not include the player in his plans for the upcoming season.
“He (Snehashish) has to prove what he said. He has levelled a serious allegation against the club under IPC 420. I don’t want to keep any unwanted horses as I have always said.
“If his allegations are proved wrong, he must suffer the consequences. The matter is now between the club and the player,” said Bhowmick.
Meanwhile, East Bengal are to begin their preparations with a pre-season camp at Jagannath Puri from 17th of this month for about three weeks.
“After that camp, the club is trying to arrange a few games for us, possibly in Bangladesh,” informed the veteran coach.
Meanwhile, Syed Rahim Nabi was reportedly unhappy with his contract and according to certain sections of the media, was looking for an exit from the club.
“I don’t see any issue with Nabi. He has a contract for another two seasons. I have personally had a chat with him and since he is our skipper, we have decided to raise his salary as well. If he has a problem thereafter, then once again it’s between the club and the player,” said the former
Salgaocar coach.
As reported earlier, Bhowmick would have the luxury of five foreigners in his pre-season training and shall decide on the final four, taking the ‘3+1’ rule into consideration, before the I-League kicks-off.
“There’s Edmilson, Yakubu, Sebastian Omar, Jan Berger and Ramez Dayoub. I don’t want to hurry on this issue. Let me have a look at them and then we’ll decide.”
