Chirag United have strengthened their team further by signing Brazilian Josimar Da Silva Martins for the upcoming season...

The 24 year old last played for Brazilian club Nacional AC, where the former Barcelona midfielder Deco played in the youth team. Josimar had also plied his trade in the Russian Premier League for Terek.

The tall Brazilian was in Kolkata and gave a week’s trial following which coach Subrata Bhattacharya approved of his signing.

Speaking to Goal.com, Chirag United official, Siddhartha Bhattacharya said, “He was a free player and the deal was struck without the help of any agent. Our coach selected him after a seven day trial.”

The Kolkata club have been the very shrewd in the transfer market signing the right players within their budget. The club is also close to roping the services of East Bengal duo of Jayanta Sen and Ashim Biswas.
