Mohanraj To Stay At Bagan
Mohanraj has extended his stay at Mohun Bagan for another year after a successful campaign with the Mariners which saw them win three trophies...
The left-back has been a hot property for the last two seasons as several clubs have lined-up to get his signature. But it’s the taste of success which was the key to don the Green and Maroon jersey for another season.
Speaking to Goal.com, Mohanraj said, “They (Mohun Bagan) wanted me to stay and I couldn’t refuse that. I have grown as a player with this club over the last couple of seasons and it has helped me develop as a player.
“We have had a successful season with three trophies and except the disappointment of finishing second in the I-League, which was due to a poor start, everything went well.
“We have a good coach (Karim Bencherifa) too and so there’s no reason for me to switch clubs.”
Mohanraj had offers from Dempo, Salgaocar and Pune FC as well but snubbed them once again to be with Bagan.
