Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has received some promising news from the treatment table ahead of the Primera Division match against Levante, as full-back Marcelo has resumed squad training.

The Brazilian defender picked up a leg injury in the 3-1 win over Real Zaragoza on January 28, however, Madrid have now confirmed on their official website that Marcelo has shaken off the knock and has resumed training with the first team.

Mourinho has yet to make a final decision as to whether Marcelo will be included in the match squad for the upcoming game, but the full-back is expected to make his comeback this weekend.

Sunday's game at Santiago Bernabeu kicks off at 21.30CET.
