The Mumbai FC skipper shares his world with his fans on Goal.com..
Hey everyone,
After a small break, it feels good to be back on the pitch. Breaks are very important for athletes as excessive matches, traveling; etc can take a toll on us. We need some time to spend with our near and dear ones.
Talking of being on the field- it gives me a sense of immense pleasure and joy to hit the ground. It doesn’t matter if you are playing for a club or for the country, the feeling can’t be described in words. I just love spending time on the turf.
The Federations Cup is our next assignment and we have started working real hard on our fitness as it is going to be the key because of a lot of matches will be played in the next couple of weeks. We, as a squad have gelled together pretty well and we people are staying together which indicates the bond we share with each other. We are in good touch and looking at it, our form should increase rather than dipping. Hoping for a good outing, fingers crossed!!!
Cheers!
Abhishek
