The former Rangdajied United striker has decided to ply his trade for the Red and Gold brigade for the next two seasons…

Prolific striker Ranti Martins has agreed a two-year deal with East Bengal which shall keep him at the club until the end of 2015-16 season.

“You may call it pressure, but for me, it’s a responsibility, a big responsibility. I know what I am capable of and what I have to do here. But I must emphasize that working together is the key (to success). Everybody, from the players to officials and fans must work together towards a common goal. Yes, the responsibility isthere and I’m ready for it,” he mentioned.

He added that linking up with striker Chidi Edeh wouldn’t be a problem for him as they have played together a few years ago.

“I have played with Chidi when I was in Dempo. We have played well together. But the club and the coach will take the decisions. We have to wait and see for the future,” he added.
