Top and Flop: Dempo SC 2-4 Bengaluru FC

Here's a look at the best and the worst of the match between the Golden Eagles and the southern side...
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

TOP: Sunil Chhetri

The Bengaluru skipper had a part to play in three of the four goals scored against Dempo SC. It was his quick thrown-in that started the move for Sean Rooney's first goal. He assisted John Menyongar for Bengaluru’s crucial third goal which took them 3-0 up. He scored the fourth goal for Bengaluru in injury time to confirm three points.

FLOP: Mandar Rao Desai

The youngster had a forgetful outing as he failed to make the most of the half chances that came his way. He was rightfully taken off for Alwyn George at the hour mark.
