Top and Flop: United SC 0-0 Mohun Bagan

The two sides failed to make the most of the chances that came their way..
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

TOP: Anupam Sarkar

The central defender of the Purple Brigade pulled off his best performance of the season as he succeeded in keeping Odafa and Christopher at bay. The Purple Brigade managed to use the offside trap brilliantly and Anupam was the star of the show as his timely interceptions and tackles nipped a number of Bagan attacks in the bud.

FLOP: Odafa Okolie

The Nigerian striker failed to cope up with the heat and was lethargic in his attempts to invade the opponent's box. He failed to create any clear cut opportunities and with little alternatives available to the gaffer, he continued for the full length of the match, adding to Bagan's attacking woes..
