The 59-year old believes that his side can avoid the drop as they have two more games to go…
United Sports Club haven’t won any of their last 14 matches in the I-League after having registered four victories from their opening six matches.
Their recent draw against Mohun Bagan last weekend sees them in tenth spot with 23 points from 22 games.
“This was a match we should have won. We created a number of chances and the number certainly was more than their chances.
“One point today is valuable and our primary target is to snatch one point from the Churchill match. We can't lose that match at any cost. We are going in a good direction bytaking a point from most of our recent matches, but a win would have been much better,” said coach Ananta Kumar Ghosh.
Odafa Okolie produced a listless performance upfront for Bagan as he hardly threatened the opposition citadel.
“Odafa didn't look dangerous at all. Anupam Sarkar did a great job and Bello Rasaq was as good as ever. Baldeep (Singh) got a great chance in the last minute but he couldn't score. Asif (Kottayil) also missed a sitter. I hope that we get the better of these problems in the next few matches.”
