thumbnail Hello,

The Greens gained three vital points away from home courtesy of a late winner by Darryl Duffy...

Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

TOP: Dudu Omagbemi

The Nigerian striker showed his quality with a good display for his side. He got the assist for Gilbert Oliveira’s opener with an accurate through ball. He also had a hand in the winner as he found himself in a good position to capitalise on Pune’s poor defending which led to Darryl Duffy scoring the winner after his initial shot was blocked.

FLOP: Dhanpal Ganeshan

The midfielder had a moment of madness when he punched Salgaocar keeper Karanjit Singh despite the fact that his team had just received a penalty. His action resulted in a sending off which proved to be costly as Darryl Duffy netted a late winner for Salgaocar.
