Top and Flop: Sporting Clube de Goa 1-1 Churchill Brothers

Here is a look at the best and the worst between the above mentioned two sides in a game of missed chances at the Fatorda stadium.
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

The Egyptian midfielder had a great evening in the middle of the park spraying passing all round and creating chances at will. He made two key passes in the opening six minutes of the game but his team-mates failed to capitalise on them. He initiated every Churchill attack in a game where The Red Machines dominated the proceedings.

The Nigerian had a poor outing by his standards. He started the game playing in central midfield where Velito Cruz never allowed him to dictate terms. He was later pushed to centre-back slot in the wake of an injury to Gonzalo Neila but that turned out to be turning point on the match as he was the one to give away the ball just outside the box for Churchill's first goal.
