Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

The United Sports Club goalkeeper was seen making flying saves in the game. Das made two defining saves in the match - once in the first half when he came off his line to deflect Salgaocar FC striker Darryl Duffy's shot wide and in the 83rd minute as he had to dive low to his right in order to ward off Chika Wali's header from a Freiman Peixoto free-kick.

The Salgaocar midfield was struggling on the day. Gilbert Oliveira had to shift back from the left wing to the left wing back position due to injuries to Rahul Kumar and Nicolau Colaco. Rocus Lamare dropped deep to help Oliveira and Clifton Dias was unable to dictate the tempo of the game. He often gave away the ball cheaply.
