Sporting Clube de Goa coach Oscar Bruzon exuberated confidence in his team’s chances to take full points against Dempo SC on Saturday.
The last six occasions when the two sides have met, Sporting have managed to win on five occasions while their counterparts are yet to register a win.
“Dempo have an excellent set of players and in the last few games they are finally getting good results. We are taking the game as a final and are also being very confident as in our last 6 games against them, Sporting defeated Dempo five times and drew once.
“Our confidence level is up again and I am sure that if we adjust well to the game plan, Sporting will get the three points,” he told Goal.
Sporting are three points behind league leaders Bengaluru FC and on being asked whether the club is still hoping to win the title or are content with a top three finish which was their target at the start of the season, Bruzon said, “All of us are aware of our current situation but the objectives of the teams are the ones settled before starting the season.
“There is no pressure for us as we have well done our homework till date. We are only thinking of Dempo as they are an excellent team and performing well in recent dates. Anyway I consider Sporting is today a better team and on Saturday, it’s a good opportunity to demonstrate that,” he mentioned.
