Pune FC missed several chances as they were held to a goalless draw by arch-rivals Mumbai FC in an I-League round 19 encounter...Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.
|TOP: DOUHOU PIERRE
The Côte d'Ivoire national had an excellent work rate throughout the game and often released Gabriel Fernandes in attack. Pierre and Co. continued to push ahead and in the process forced Mumbai FC to defend deep in their own half.
|FLOP: AHMAD HATIFIE
Medio Ahmad Hatifie particularly went down numerous times in the final quarter of the game as the Afghan appeared to do most of the play acting on the pitch. He failed to create chances for his attackers and didn't much influence on the proceedings.
