thumbnail Hello,

A first half strike by the Nigerian goal machine won full points for the visiting Goan oufit...

Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

TOP: Dudu Omagbemi

The Nigerian is in top form and scored a brilliant goal on the break by overpowering Mehrajuddin Wadoo in defense to slot home. He could have doubled their lead with volleyed effort which came of the crossbar. Omagbemi held the ball well upfront for Salgaocar and did defensive work in the second half when Derrick Pereira's side were on the backfoot.

FLOP: Syed Rahim Nabi
The experienced left back had a poor outing and was sloppy in his passing. He had trouble dealing with the pace of Francis Fernandes. He looked unfit and shot wayward on a couple of occasions.
