The former East Bengal midfielder has joined the ranks of the north eastern brigade ahead of the Federation Cup…
Rangdajied United have bolstered their squad as they signed Sushant Matthew on loan from IMG-Reliance until the end of the season.
The versatile player can play across various positions in the midfield and defense and would be an asset for Santosh Kashyap’s side for the remaining season.
“I know Sushant well from his time at Mahindra United. I am sure he will do well with us,” said coach Kashyap.
Rangdajied are placed in a tough group with Bengaluru FC, Sporting Clube de Goa and East Bengal for company.
“We are injury free which is good news and all our players are in good shape. We have won the Shillong league comfortably this season and were unbeaten in 16 matches all throughout and that should boost our confidence,” said Kashyap.
“Our team has got the confidence and we are getting some god results in the last seven-to-eight matches of the I-League. I feel any team can beat anyone on a day based on the performance. I am confident of our team’s chances. On paper and performance-wise, our opponents are top teams. But we will try our best.”
