The Mohammedan striker has issued an apology for misconduct, club to decide the next course of action soon...
Mohammedan Sporting have vouched for more time to discuss the future of Tolgay Ozbey after it has been revealed the striker has apologised for his dissent against the then coach Bola Moshood.
“Yes he has replied to the show-cause notice and apologised for showing dissent. But, we are not satisfied. But for the time being we are not taking any decision. But, if we do not get any satisfactory answer we will take a tough decision very soon,” a club official said.
As Goal reported earlier, the Australian striker had been issued a show-cause notice for publicly showing dissent after he was substituted in an I-League encounter against Dempo SC.
Moshood has since been sacked after a disappointing run of results saw Mohammedan slip to 11th, just a point above the relegation zone, while many expect Ozbey to be culled from the squad for a string of disappointing performances, after a transfer that promised so much.
It will be interesting to see if he takes the field against Mohammedan's next opponents in the Calcutta Football League (CFL), George Telegraph at the Barasat stadium.
