Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

The Afghanistan international once again pulled off a stellar performance to deny the pair of Odafa Okolie and Christopher Chizoba from scoring. He started the match as a defensive midfielder and after Anwar Ali's injury midway into the first half, shifted to his usual role in the defense. He made a few last-ditch tackles to ward off the danger against a Mohun Bagan side that was fresh from a 4-0 win over United SC. The man of the match award was only a testament to his brilliance.

The youngster had a bad day in office as he failed to cope with the pace of the Mumbai FC attacks and was caught out of position on a couple of occasions. He was also struggling when going forward and lacked ideas.

His inexperience was brought to the fore by the veteran Yusif Yakubu as he got deluded by a demo run by the Nigerian, and Mohammed Rafi used the space to unleash a volley to put his side ahead.
