The Moroccan coach highlighted the example of the Goan club to show the support the coach gets from the management…
Mohun Bagan are in the bottom half of the table after a horrendous start to their I-League campaign. Coach Karim Bencherifa is no doubt under pressure but he bought forth the case of Dempo SC, who have just a point more (12) than the Mariners from the 11 matches played.
However despite the poor start the Goan club has made, club chairman Shrinivas Dempo has backed coach Arthur Papas to come good and help the team overcome the transition into a youthful squad as smoothly as possible.
At Bagan however, despite the club being in transition, there is a weight of expectation which bogs the team down.
“One team that is also in our situation is Dempo. Like us, they also have fresh blood and the difference you have that Mr. Dempo who comes out in public and says that I know that they need time. But, here we don't have time. You have to do it. Do or die. The name itself, Mohun Bagan gives you know," said Bencherifa.
