Top and Flop: Pune FC 1-0 Bengaluru FC

Take a look at our Top and Flop for the match between Pune and Bengaluru which the Red Lizards narrowly won...
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

The young and dynamic U-23 Pune midfielder shone yet again when Mike Snoei entrusted him in midfield and he began to run the show for the Red Lizards and was at the heart of every positive move. He also proved his credentials when he was called to track back and help out his defenders.

Although Bengaluru FC were strictly second best throughout the game, they had a chance to equalise in the dying half of the game when John Menyongar was brought down inside the box. Unfortunately Menyongar could not convert his chance which allowed Pune FC to run away with the win and Bengaluru's woeful form on the road to continue.
