Have a look at our 'Top and Flop' in a game which saw Arthur Papas' side register their second win in this season's I-League...Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.
|TOP: SIMON COLOSIMO
The Australian had a stand-out performance against Churchill Brothers playing the role of a sweeper and managing to mark the runs of Henri Antchouet and Bineesh Balan. Colosimo never allowed the oppoisition to build up attacks as he snatched the ball away from Lenny Rodrigues on several occasions.
| FLOP: RAJU YUMNAM
The left-back found it difficult to contain the likes of Dempo's Romeo Fernandes and Debabrata Roy, who overlapped from the right back position and was allowed to send in goal-mouth crosses. Although the move for the goal came from the central midfield, the Golden Eagles' players were allowed too much width on the right to initiate most of their attacks.
