Top and Flop: Sporting Clube de Goa 2-0 Pune FC

The Flaming Oranje ended Pune FC's unbeaten run in the I-League with a comprehensive 2-0 win at the Duler stadium
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

He was the centre of the attacking fulcrum of Sporting Clube de Goa. The Goan winger created opportunities for Ogba Kalu Nnanna and Victorino Fernandes in the first half which should have been put to bed. He ran riot down the left flank and caused the Pune FC defense trouble with his occasional cut-ins. Shirodkar assisted the first goal and scored the second with aplomb.

Amrinder was waiting to get himself booked given the time he was wasting on the goal-kicks in the first half. He was finally cautioned in the 49th minute for the same. Although he had no option but to foul Velito Cruz outside the box after a poor back-pass which resulted in him being sent-off, his time wasting tactics qualifies him as the flop of the game.
