The Mariners finally managed to register their first victory this term...
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.
|TOP: Katsumi Yusa
The Japanese was omnipresent in the midfield for the Kolkata outfit as he continued his rich vein of form. He scored the second goal which arguably sealed the points for the home side. In the absence of skipper Odafa Okolie, he has been the talisman for Mohun Bagan. All the creativity of Mohun Bagan comes through him.
| FLOP: Nicolau Colaco
The right back wasn't his usual self against Mohun Bagan and was partly guilty along with goalkeeper Karanjit Singh for the first goal by Chinadorai Sabeeth. He didn't offer much going forward and was overall a disappointing performance from the Salgaocar full back.
