Mohammedan Sporting shared the spoils with United Sports Club in an I-League round six match in Kolkata on Thursday after both the teams failed to break the deadlock.

Masood Bola Aziz, the coach of the Black and Whites however, was furious at the referee Ratheesh Kumar after a goal scored by Josimar Da Silva was disallowed for a foul on Belo Rasaq.

"The referee robbed us of three points. He robbed us of the match. A single goal was enough to win the match today. Both the teams played good football today. The referee was a disgrace," Masood vented out his frustration over the official's call.

He however, conceded that his strikers were slow to react in many of the occasions and could have done much better. "We had a few good chances. We should have taken advantage of those. I am not using it as an excuse to the result. The fact is as simple as that," he told the media in the post-match press conference.

Though Mohammedan had signed five IMG-Reliance players on loan, none of them featured in the starting line-up with only Manish Maithani and Luis Barreto making it to the bench. The coach however stressed that only two days of practice was not enough to be ready for first-team action.

"In every aspect we are now working as a team, as a unit. Everybody has to prove himself to get a place in the first team," he concluded.

Iqbal Ahmed, an official of the Kolkata club was also concerned about the team's performance. He along with another few members of the club had a brief chat with the match commissioner after the match about the disallowed goal as they demanded an investigation for the same.
enquiry on the same.

"I will talk to the players in a few days. I will have a discussion once they come back from Goa. The referee's decision was also very disappointing," Ahmed told after the match.
