The head coach of the Red Machines believes that his side only need a win in order to get their season up and running...
Churchill Brothers SC continue their winless streak in the 2013-14 season as they managed to seize a point off Rangdajied United in a 1-1 draw in the midweek.
Mariano Dias, the coach of the defending champions, expressed his disappointment with the team’s performance.
"Although we are playing well, we are letting our opponent to score. We got so many chances, but we could not utilize them. If you don't score, you don't win a match. This is what happened here," said Dias.
He also stressed that the team is missing a number of key players due to injuries which haven’t helped the cause of the team. "Yes, at the moment we are playing with lot of injuries. For example Henry (Antchouet), Raju (Yumnam) and two more players are missing."
Dias praised the home side for their style of football and also commended them in managing to draw a lot of fans to the stadium.
“Rangdajied played really well today. They also got a good crowd support backing them," he remarked.
The Churchill coach admitted that they are in desperate need for three points if they have any hopes of retaining their league title.
"Of course we needed three points. Every match is important for us. But this is football. We will come back into the league. Let us win one match and the scene will be different," he concluded.
