Top and Flop: Rangdajied United 2-2 Dempo SC

Rangdajied United fight back to deny the visitors from Goa, Dempo SC, all three points in a thrilling encounter
Welcome to Goal's new I-League feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. It won't necessarily be the best player in the league - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. In the same vein, we will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day and eventually came to hurt his side.

Being the captain of the side, the set an example for his teammates. He was omnipresent and most of the Rangdajied attack from the center were initiated through the skipper. His work rate was tremendous and that made a huge impact on the game and also on his team. The former Shillong Lajong midfielder played his role to perfection.

The Dempo midfielder was totally off colour with close to nil contribution from him. Neither did he come handy while defending nor was his supply adequate. With poor passing and poorer interceptions, he was lucky to have played the full match. Certainly, Arthur Papas will expect better standards from the Indian international or he'll have no option but to give the thriving youngster in the squad their deserved break by sacrificing Raja.
