The 25-year-old was rock solid at the back with no Rangdajied player able to get past him. Johnson also joined his team in the attack showcasing his strength in the air with some exceptionally good headers, one of which ended in the back of the opponent's net in the 33rd minute.


He allowed Beikhokhei Beingaichho to cut past him which resulted in the Bengaluru player crossing the ball for Sean Rooney to double the home side's lead in the 57th minute. He was sluggish all throughout and gave away possession cheaply on countless occasions.
