Salgaocar FC midfielder Karma Tsewang has recently been named by Wim Koevermans' in the list of 30 India probables for the Tajikistan friendly slated for 14 August.
The Karnataka-born player mentioned that he focusses on a particular assignment at a time in order to avoid being deviated from his targets.
"It encourages me to know that I have been called up for the India team. Actually, I was concentrating more on my club career as I am at a new club now. So once I get at the India camp, I will think only about doing well there," he told GOAL.
Karma, along with Chika Wali, followed Derrick Pereira from Pune FC to join the Salgaocar ranks. However the former Viva Kerala player doesn't believe that he enjoys an advantage over his colleagues having worked under the Goan coach in the past.
"Coach Derrick [Pereira] knows how to make you comfortable. He won't restrict you from doing anything new. I know his game and what he wants from us as I have already been under him. But there won't be any advantage for me.
"Everybody wants to fight for their place. I am new here. Just like that, the players are also new to the coach. So it's the same for everybody. There's no advantage for anyone. The boys are good here and I will have to work hard," he observed.
