After it was confirmed that Pailan Arrows are to ply their trade in the top flight for another season, the club is likely to add three players on their roster who had pledged their allegiance for the IMG-Reliance tournament.
Sandesh Jhingan, Lalrinfela and Nadong Bhutia, who are under the age of 23, are close to joining the All India Football Federation's (AIFF) developmental side.
Sanjoy Sen has been appointed as the head coach, and alongside goalkeeper coach Tanumoy Basu, will decide on the names to be added to their team.
"I had a talk with them (AIFF) yesterday and I think it will be finalised in three-to-four days time. It's just that we have to talk about a few things in detail," the 52-year-old confirmed of the developments to GOAL.
"We are trying to get Jhingan from United Sikkim and looking to sign a few more players too," he added.
The former Prayag United coach has also admitted that he is "okay" with his players playing in the 'IPL-style' tournament by IMG-Reliance, who are the commercial and marketting partners of the AIFF.
"I'm okay with that (Pailan Arrows boys playing for IMG-Reliance) because it will be a new thing for Indian football. The Pailan boys will get some good exposure and get a chance to play with some top foreigners from around the world," he opined.
"IMG-Reliance is putting money in Indian football and whatever is good for football, I think we should support it," he added.
