The AIFF have released the dates for registration of clubs in division II of the I-League while at the same time releasing the tournament dates...Changes made by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to the I-League II structure have begun to resonate and take effect. As per the directives of the AIFF Emergency Committee, all clubs participating in the second tier of the Indian League 2013-2014 season will have to submit the applications confirming their participation through their respective State Associations on or before July 15th.
A new addendum which has been amended to the I-League Second Division, which kicks off in November, is that all participating clubs will have to fill the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Club Licensing Criteria.
Meanwhile on the footballing front, the Federation Cup, which will celebrate its 35th anniversary, will kick off in October whereas the months of December and January will host the 68th edition of the Santosh Trophy.
December will see the Under-16 National Finals of the Coca-Cola Cup whereas the Under-19 BC Roy Trophy will start in September.
On the topic of Women’s Football in India, the AIFF haven’t included the dates for the women’s championships especially since the calendar only runs up to January 2014. Quite surprising given that the event hasn’t been held for two years in a row now. The National Championship for girls is slated for a November kick off.
