The India international shall ply his trade for the Goan club next season hoping to recapture his best form...
Salgaocar FC have confirmed the signing of Rakesh Masih from Mohun Bagan.
The Indian midfielder, who had an injury ravaged campaign at Mohun Bagan, has signed a one-year deal with the Goan club.
After having already roped in Karma Tsewang, Chika Wali, Felix D’Souza, Masih is the club’s fourth major signing this summer.
Salgaocar are on the lookout for foreign players to complete their rosters as they are expected to begin their pre-season training in the first week of July.
“We are happy to have signed Masih. He is a very good player,” Salgaocar FC general secretary Raj Gomes told Goal.
The 26 year old spent five seasons with the Mariners and has won a Federation Cup title with them in the 2008-09 season. The Tata Football Academy (TFA) graduate was highly regarded by former national coach Bob Houghton but some indifferent performances over the last two seasons hasn’t helped his cause to break into the India squad.
