"Talks are still going on. Nothing has been done yet. I had a discussion with them (Mohun Bagan) and have a good offer from them, so I am hoping to re-join my previous club," the 26-year-old told Goal.
With regard to his stint with United SC in the gone term, he added, "It was quite well at the end of the season. I was very happy to play under coach Eelco Schattarie. I had a one year contract with Prayag United, so I am a free player now."
The Green and Maroon are still working hard on building the core of their side, and Bhowmick has claimed that he is quite aware of the same.
"What I heard from the newspapers and media is that they want to make a good team (for next season)," he said, and went on to reveal, "I have also heard that Anthony Pereira and Rowilson Rodrigues have already signed, so it looks like a good team which can go for the title next season."
The player has also decided to adopt a wait and watch policy, with regards to the much touted IMG-Reliance tournament. Lalkamal Bhowmick says that he has "not yet" signed for the marketing partners of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), to participate in the new competition.
"There is some problem between the clubs and IMG-Reliance. So as soon as they solve the problem, I'll think about it," he reasoned.
