After having played a vital role in the development of players at Pailan Arrows, the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) developmental side, Arthur Papas shall decide his next course of action by the end of this week.
Having come to India to take charge of the FIFA academy in Navi Mumbai, Papas was drafted in at the eleventh hour to take over the reins as the India U-22 coach in the crucial AFC U-22 Championship qualifiers where the youngsters impressed under his tutelage.
Come the end of the season, Papas chose not to extend his contract with Pailan Arrows and was reportedly offered a role by the AIFF to take over the reins of the age group national teams and also as a coaching instructor.
However given his good work in Indian football over the last year or so, Papas has received several offers, chief among them being from Dempo SC who are looking to move on from Armando Colaco.
Papas, who is in Australia now, shall ponder on his future and is likely to put pen to paper the offer from The Whites.
