The Red Lizards were keen on having a coach who had international and continental experience to lead their troops next season…

Pune FC have roped in the services of Mike Snoei as their head coach for the next season. The Dutchman will replace the outgoing Derrick Pereira who led the side for the last four seasons.

Although the club had earlier come close to signing Pailan Arrows coach Arthur Papas, the negotiations broke off at the eleventh hour.

Snoei’s name popped up though Robert Baan, India’s technical director, whose advice was sought by the Pune FC’s management in choosing their next coach.
