Mohun Bagan looked to have finally hit top gear as they have notched up two wins over Dempo SC and Sporting Clube de Goa respectively. The Mariners have moved away from the danger of being sucked into the relegation scramble and are now looking for a strong finish to the season. Karim Bencherifa's team will face a stern test when they face off against Mumbai FC at the Salt Lake Stadium.

With Bagan strikers Odafa Okolie and Tolgey Ozbey having found a common wavelength, they form one of the I-League's most fiercest striking duo. The results are there to be seen as Bagan held their nerve against Dempo and destroyed Sporting in the next round of matches. They will be looking for something similar against Mumbai FC who lie just two points above them. A win can see them overtake Khalid Jamil's team into 8th place.

Mumbai FC will look to make it three games unbeaten when they travel to Kolkata. Jamil's side are on the back of a 3-1 win over Air India and will look to finish the season on a high. However they do have to improve upon their poor away form which has seen them without a win in their last three games on the road. With Bagan currently on a roll, it will be important for Mumbai to hold their nerve and ensure that they keep things compact in the middle of the pitch. The defence however will be the key to deciding whether Bagan run riot or are kept on a leash.

Centre-halves Haroon Amiri and William Colaco have to be on their toes as they will be up against Odafa and Tolgey, both of whom are capable of capitalising on the smallest of mistakes.

Mohun Bagan: Ichezona Anyichie is available for selection after serving his suspension which may mean that he could slot into the defence and relegate midfielder Quinton Jacobs to the bench. Jewel Raja may come in place of the Jacobs. The rest of the team is expected to bear an unchanged look

Mumbai FC: Khalid Jamil will be without defenders Justine Stephen and Evans Quao for this game. Abhishek Yadav will have to slot into the heart of the defence and Peter Costa will fill in at the right-back position. ND Opara will occupy the third foreigner's slot in the team along with Amiri and Yusuf Yakubu.

  • Mumbai FC have never defeated Mohun Bagan in their last five encounters.
  • Odafa Okolie is Bagan's top scorers with 14 goals.
  • Mumbai FC has a goal difference of -3 while Mohun Bagan have a deficit of +3
