"The pitch here in Delhi is perhaps not fit for football, it's very uneven and the heat makes it worse," said the 33-year old Brazilian. The former Dempo man was happy with his team's performance in the game.
"It's been really good that they equalised, but then ONGC have been really good at home this season. The team has been gelling well as a unit and both (Sunil) Chhetri and Balal (Arezou) have quickly become a part of the set-up. We are pretty optimistic about our chances this season," said Beto.
ONGC coach Santosh Kashyap found reason to be happy despite the fact that his side are one among two to be banned from the I-League next year.
"It's an excellent result for us, holding the league leaders is very commendable indeed," opined the former Mohun Bagan gaffer. The 46-year old was very optimistic about ONGC and Air India being retained in the I-League next year and also revealed that privatization is in the process.
