'I want to get fired up and give my best' - Pune FC's Boima Karpeh

The 28-year old striker joined the Red Lizard from Indonesian club Persiram Raja Ampat to replace Daisuke Nishiguchi who was released in the start of February....
Pune FC's latest acquisition in striker Boima Karpeh was ecstatic on being part of one of India's most well run clubs. The Liberia born Australian striker had a stint with Churchill Brothers in the 2010-11 season when he scored three goals in four games for the Red Machines which included a 1-0 win over his new side.The 28-year old was all praise for his new club by claiming that they had made a very good first impression.
"Very professional and that begins from the time I landed at the airport, where there was someone to receive me. Even the website that I checked had everything in order, which is important for someone like me who is from Australia. It’s kind of having a liking and being home to me in the way things run at the club. I am fortunate for all this," said Karpeh to the club's official website.
The former Perth Glory man revealed that he had heard about Pune FC during his time at Churchill Brothers.
"The passionate fans, the way games are organized was an experience that made me think – I really want to play here. It was then that I decided, if I don’t get a call to play for Pune FC I won’t come back to India. So when the guy (agent) told me you going to Pune FC, I was very happy," said Karpeh.
The striker nicknamed 'Jerry' is aware of the responsbility he has once the I-League resumes from its 40-day break.
"I want to get fired up, go out there give my best and be as best any professional can be. With my contribution if in the short time we can win the league it will be a very, very big thing for me. Also if I could play one whole season with the team (Pune FC) I would love to do so," said Jerry.
With 8 games left in the I-League, the former Churchill Brothers player hoped that he could atleast grab three or four goals to help his team's cause.
The striker was not tired of pouring adulation on his new club.
"The good part that I’ve noticed is the unison among all team members (juniors, seniors). There’s no disparity, which is exactly the way it is back home. It’s the family culture that stands out, which is so very important in success," signed off Boima.
