Air India set to unveil new coach - report

Mumbai FC's Under-19 coach Naushad Moosha is set to be revealed as the new coach taking over from Anthony Fernandes.....
Mumbai-based I-League side Air India will be ready to unveil Naushad Moosha as their new coach subject to completion of formalities. The Mumbai FC Under-19 coach will take over from Anthony Fernandes who has been managing the team on an interim basis.

The appointment, if it goes through, will be a shot in the arm for the Airmen who will not participate in the I-League next season owing to disrepancies in complying to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)'s licensing criteria. Moosha's track record with the Mumbai FC Under-19 is impressive. The side won the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Super Division and finished runners up in the I-League's Under-20 tournament in 2012.

Air India have not had a permanent coach since Godfrey Perreira left the club at the end of November, citing differences over salary issues. Assistant coach Anthony Fernandes was handed the job on a caretaker basis and have had a mixed series of results since then which included wins over Mumbai FC and Dempo SC, but also had drubbings at the hands of Prayag United and Salgaocar FC.
