The former Arsenal and Tottenham striker was in the limelight yet again as he launched into a verbal tirade against coach Armando Colaco on Twitter...Rohan Ricketts' time in India has been nothing short of eventful. The 29-year old Englishman is one of the marquee players in the I-League and was seen as a way to attract more talent from abroad to ply their trade in India. However the former Arsenal and Tottenham player has been in the news for all the wrong reasons as he lashed out at Dempo SC coach Armando Colaco on social networking site Twitter.
The striker has been tweeting quite a bit since Monday. Some of his tweets were as follows:
"These last two weeks have been most difficult for me in football. On the pitch I have performed well, but my happiness has been killed due to off the-pitch actions of the coach via the agent who brought me here (soon to be disclosed), threatening tweets, a note on my car from a fan that seems to want to instil fear into me because I spoke my mind a few times"
"So now I dont feel safe and my desire to be here has been taken away through the disgusting off the field shenanigans which most of the Goan boys are afraid to voice their individual issues"
"The club I play for @DempoSC is an extremely top club in India at the top level of the company but individuals below have tarnished it"

The Englishman has been served with a suspension notice from the club and asked to explain his actions within 48 hours. He has been told that he must apologize publicly or risk his I-League stint being cut short prematurely.
"We have been following Rohan Ricketts on his Twitter account and have to express concern at the turn his tweets have taken," the club said in a statement on Thursday, moments after the former Arsenal striker had a closed-door meeting with club chairman Shrinivas Dempo.
"Our boys adore coach Armando, who is a father figure, encouraging a spirit of openness, mutual respect and two-way affection among our lads. It is this atmosphere that has made Dempo SC a champion. It is impossible to conceive how there can be any negativity that Rohan alludes to in such a situation," the club added through its statement.
Ricketts and Armando Colaco clashed earlier in the season when East Bengal played Dempo at the Salt Lake Stadium, but the issue was eventually resolved.
