The Dempo SC coach shared his opinion on the delay in handing out a decision by the Indian FA on Mohun Bagan over not turning up for the second half action against East Bengal
Armando Colaco believes that the difference between the top four sides in the I-League and the rest of the pack is huge.
”Everyone within the top 4 teams has a chance (to win the league title) because the difference between the other teams and these four is quite a lot,” he said.
He heaped praise on the work done by Derrick Pereira and Trevor Morgan at Pune FC and East Bengal respectively.
“I think Pune FC is doing very well. Derrick (Pereira) is doing a good job there. Even Trevor Morgan is doing very well (at East Bengal). Between us, it (the positions) keeps going up and down,” he mentioned.
Colaco also gave his take on the Mohun Bagan issue of not taking to field in the Kolkata derby against East Bengal earlier this month and that the decision on the same has been pending for over two weeks.
“If justice is delayed or denied, is it a mistake? Yes, and if someone has made a mistake, let them apologize and get on with football,” he opined.
On being asked specifically on Mohun Bagan’s possibility of being ousted from the I-League, he said, “How do you know that Mohun Bagan is out? You can predict all you want, but prediction hardly comes true.”
