Mumbai FC can consider themselves seriously unfortunate not to take maximum points in their last game against Mohun Bagan. The Mumbaikars were the dominant side despite going down to an early Odafa Okolie goal and levelled things later through Abhishek Yadav. Bagan were pegged back after that and were lucky to come away with only a point.

Khalid Jamil's side will feel that they can get another win under their belts when they face an ONGC side that were drubbed 5-0 by East Bengal last week just after a they had upset Dempo SC the week before that. Mumbai FC have improved their defensive work after leaking in goals early in the season. However they would also hope that their star striker Yusif Yakubu finds his scoring boots as that shall truly get their league campaign up and running.

ONGC FC's euphoria after beating Dempo SC was short lived as they were thrashed by East Bengal last week. To add insult to injury midfielder Sandeep Sangha got himself sent off after two yellow card offences and will miss the game against Mumbai FC.

Subrata Bhattacharya's wards will need to focus on winning this game against Mumbai FC as they aim to build some momentum for the matches to come. They desperately need to add points to their tally else they shall continue to be in the relegation zone.

Mumbai FC: Khalid Jamil will in all likeliness not be making any changes to the side that rattled Mohun Bagan. Striker Abhishek Yadav may get a look in as he had an instant impact when he came on against the Mariners.

ONGC FC: Subrata Bhattacharya will miss the services of midfielder Sandeep Sangha through suspension. David Lalrinuamana should take his place in the lineup. The good news is that Robin Gurung and Oneyama Eke have recovered from an injury which saw him miss the last game. Jatin Bisht shall miss the game as he is away from the squad for personal reasons.

  • The two sides have faced each other twice with the Mumbaikars winning once and sharing the points on the other occasion.
  • Mumbai FC left back Zohib Amiri is one of the most capped Afghan players with 31 appearances.
  • ONGC have shipped in 19 goals this season, second only to United Sikkim.
